Each year, the Eden Valley is combed by our winemakers to find those members’ vineyards where outstanding Riesling crops show exceptional varietal and regional Riesling characteristics. The winemakers look particularly for the steely acidity and pristine varietal attributes which make great Riesling.

The vineyards which contribute the grapes for this wonderful wine include some on ancient soils of low fertility around 500 metres above sea level and others in Eden Valley’s lower reaches, around 400 metres, growing on richer loams. Their diversity gives Eden Valley Wines Riesling its unique complexity.
The 2007 vintage is pale platinum with a touch of green, very bright. It exhibits spicy, lifted citrus, and touch of tropical fruits - quite vibrant, with full-on steely back, crisp acidity with a totally dry finish. Complex spice of light cinnamon, with a touch of fruit over the flinty regional acid character, tangy, lean and taut.
Has excellent long life potential developing into a classic toasty Riesling at around 7 years of age

This unique vineyard selection is crafted in small quantities of premium Riesling grapes to ensure the wine exhibits all the best attributes of the finest Eden Valley Riesling. We aim for a wine of youthful gold-green colour, displaying delicate fragrant and floral citrus blossom, talc and lime zest aromas, with hints of rose petal. We want intense fruit on the palate with fine acidity. Our Rieslings are renowned for finishing long and crisp.
The 2006 has a touch of spritz showing in the very pale platinum colour, with some beginnings of typical Eden Valley bouquet. It exhibits spice and toast in the lifting ethereals - quite exciting.
Taste also showing the start of development in that the youthful minerally, steeliness has started to soften while rewarding the palate with abundant flavours. Quite complex with spice and lemon zest lift.
Again this wine has all the attributes to live long and reward patience.
